Acid Corrosion Inhibitor
Description
AUSFRACRODE 100 is a low temperature corrosion inhibitor designed to provide excellent protection when in contact with common oil and gas well steel conduits during acidizing applications. AUSFRACRODE 100 is effective in 28% HCl acid solutions at temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) and in 15% HCl acid solutions at temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C). Higher concentrations of AUSFRACRODE 100 may be used at higher temperatures if certain types of steel are being used. AUSFRACRODE 100 also shows excellent performance and solubility in HCl-based systems designed for industrial applications.
Application
The following data is specific to AUSFRACRODE 100 and does not account for the presence of other products (such as surfactants, anti-sludge agents, non-emulsifiers, iron control agents, etc.) that may impact performance.
Temperature (°F) | HCl Acid Conc. (%) | Inhibitor Conc. (% V/V) | Type of Steel | Corrosion Rate (lbs/ft²) – 6 hrs | Corrosion Rate (lbs/ft²) – 16 hrs |
