Liquid, Broad Spectrum Biocide
Description
AUSFRACOCIDE 300 is a very fast-acting, broad-spectrum biocide that may be used to reduce microbiological contamination and biofouling in oilfield and petrochemical systems.
Application
AUSFRACOCIDE 300 is approved for use in enhanced oil recovery systems, oilfield and petrochemical systems, and hydrotesting. The amount of AUSFRACOCIDE 300 to be added to a given system will depend on a variety of conditions such as pH, source water, level of existing microbial contamination, equipment, and other factors. Badly fouled systems may be slug treated to establish control. Please refer to the EPA approved label for application dosages and treatment frequency.
Product Features
- Proven efficacy at low concentrations.
- Effective in controlling the growth of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, fungi, algae, and slime-forming bacteria.
- Excellent choice for top-side bacteria reduction in hydraulic fracturing operations.
- Recommended for use with PECOCIDE 200 in a dual biocide treatment regimen in hydraulic fracturing.
- Short half-life.
- Tolerant of high organic loads; not affected by hard water conditions.
- Good compatibility with friction reducers.
- Not recommended for use in high temperature environments due to rapid degradation.
- Optimum pH range: 4-8. Not recommended for use in high pH alkaline systems due to rapid hydrolysis.
- Deactivated by hydrogen sulfide and bisulfite-based oxygen scavengers.

Storage
AUSFRACOCIDE 300 is stable under ambient conditions, with a shelf life of twelve (12) months when properly stored in its original, tightly-closed container. Keep away from oxidizing agents, reducing agents, and strong bases. Sensitive to heat and light. Keep away from direct sunlight and external heat sources. Store in original, tightly-closed containers. Keep container closed when not in use. Protect from freezing. Store in a well-ventilated area.
Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. If contents are spilled or leaked due to container damage, collect liquid with absorbent material and dispose of it in accordance with local, state, and federal pesticide disposal regulations. Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
