AUSFRACBUFF 100 is a liquid alkaline buffer for application in pH buffering of guar and derivatized guar-based fracturing fluids. AUSFRACBUFF 100 load rates can be modified to provide systems with a pH ranging from 9.0 to 12.0 to meet individual treatment requirements.

Application

AUSFRACBUFF 100 load rates may vary according to the type of activation system being utilized, downhole temperature, and the desired system pH. As a general rule, a load rate of 1.0 gal. (3.785lt) of AUSFRACBUFF 100 per 1000 gal. (3785lt) of fresh water will provide a system pH of approximately 10.0. Testing is strongly recommended with the individual fluid system to provide the desired fluid performance and system pH.
